The clients’ quaint Devon cob cottage is tucked into the side of the hill, so has dark internal spaces and it is too small for their family. They wanted a light and airy kitchen and living space, with a view and access to the garden. The steep site helped deliver the solution; kitchen, dining and living at the top level, with views across the countryside to the horizon and easy access to the garden.
