Hugo led us through the design, planning permission and tender process. The design met our needs and looks very good. Planning was not a problem with any issues on materials quickly sorted. The chosen builder recommended by Hugo was efficient and kept us informed of progress including costs, timings etc. We are very pleased with the result..
david vooghtSeptember 1, 2026Hugo has worked with Lyn and I on our "dream forever home", a 15th century grade 2 listed farmhouse. His calm and thoughtful approach helped us and the build team deal with all the challenges on our beautiful home.
Emily HeydonJuly 28, 2026I have collaborated with Hugo on several projects in South Devon, including bespoke homes and new residential development (new builds and conversions). Hugo's work has been consistently done to a very high standard and it's always helpful when architects have a good grasp of the planning system, which Hugo does. It's been a pleasure to work with Hugo to date and I'm always happy to recommend him to new clients. Emily Heydon, Atticus Planning
Neil DrewApril 2, 2025Hugo has done an excellent job listening to our own aspirations for our family house and forming an exciting plan that isn't wildly above budget. He has certainly proven to be patient and understanding with indecisive clients.
Ellie gillespieMarch 3, 2025We found Hugo to be a lovely professional person to work especially with negotiating design and planning regulations. Really pleased with Barn design which is currently undergoing construction.
Simon TaylorFebruary 17, 2025Hugo has been very helpful with a couple of projects in a sensitive SSSI area which had highly complex planning requirements. He is always responsive and offers solutions.
AJ* RVFebruary 17, 2025Hugo has been on board with our arduous journey with the planners to replace our part Q barn with a new dwelling. In that time he came up with many different options and designs whilst always listening to what we wanted to achieve for our new home. He worked very well along side our planning consultant and together they guided us through the hurdles and pitfalls of planning together. He is very quick to reply to to emails/ messages ect and we would highly recommend him, and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.
Philip HughesFebruary 17, 2025We were delighted with Hugo's plans for remodeling our barn conversion. It was totally unsuitable for modern living and as a listed building it needed his trained eye to grasp what was required without overstepping the listing or the conservation requirements. As a result we have just what we were anticipating with a transformation of the internal living space. Hugo produced a virtual reality with 3d plans, which helped convince us we were all on the same wavelength. All our family and friends are wowed by the result.
Peter MelvilleFebruary 17, 2025Over five years ago, we comissioned Hugo to develop plans for a dream extension. Now we get to live in this everyday. He was fantastic to work with, and helped us along the way to shape the project to meet our needs. Top notch.
